Crystal Palace Shops
One of the things we found when clearing out was a little notebook issued by the Upper Norwood Chamber of Commerce. On the end pages there was some information about the history of Upper Norwood and useful information about the area. All the other pages had the name of a business and its location and then space for notes.

The fact that there is no mention of the High Level Station and that there is mention of the Caravan Harbour (site) implies this dates from the mid/late 1950s. In those days there has early closing of shops at 1pm on Wednesdays - modern trading tends to be all day every day!
